Extend their existing homebased business to a bigger production

Who are we and what do we do?

Tatevik and Vazgen are from Jermuk city. They want to grow their canned production. From homemade process they want to develop their business and start bigger production.

How will this impact the community?

We plan to provide 8 families (in each family 4-6 people) with seasonal work and at least 2 people with full-time job with 400-500 USD income per person per month. Later the number of permanent employees can reach up to 12.

At what stage are we at the moment and what results are we getting?

Currently their production is limited based on capacity and lack of equipment. At home, they produce 1100 jar pinecone preserve, 500 jar wild rosehip preserve and 600 jar wild rosehip jam per year.  This is the maximum quantity they can produce at home because of the facilities constraints.

After purchasing equipment and starting a production line, they plan to increase the volume and variety of their products, which will positively impact sales and create new jobs for local residents.

In the first year after acquiring the equipment, they plan to produce 3,000 cans of each product, about 75% more than they are currently producing. The forecasted additional revenue will be used for hiring, qualified employees and expanding our business.

In the 2nd year, we plan to enter supermarkets in big cities of Armenia, producing 10,000 jars of each product.

What they need?

For starting a production line, they need the following equipment:

Boiling Machine КП 250, 24 kW

Boiling Machine КП 400, 30 kW
